In fact in realilty this cross and alley were surrounded by hundreds of lanterns on the graves wich gave quite a warm feeling. I just cropped it so it gives this strange feeling :)
P.S. How did you found my picture? I'm surprised because it got like over 80 visits in few hours, I wonder why so many o_O

Wow, this is an amazing place. It seems to beautiful and haunting at the same time. Are those tiny candles down by the foot of the cross?? It really does seem like such an awesome place. Fantastic atmosphere.

Yes, those candles are there because earlier that day many people were visiting the cemetery. In Poland 1 and 2 october are the days that we all visit the graves of our families and friends, lighting up the candles and share the memories of those who gone away. I went to the cemetery late evening with camera and I've been taking pictures till late night. During that time all the people were gone, only candles on graves and by the crosses reminded of thousans of people who were there during the weekend. It was so silent and peacefull...

This is bloody amazing. The thumb really is eye-catching.

The fact that it's outside really makes it surreal and adds that strong hint of mystery. Christianity (here at least) is almost a religion confined to the indoors usually...
